Editorial Policy

APKLOOP publishes Android app and game entries only when the APK file is legally available, developer-published, open-source, public-domain, or authorized for redistribution. This page explains how we choose sources, use AI assistance, review content, and correct errors.

1. Source Policy

Every entry must be based on verifiable sources. We link to the original developer page, official store listing, project repository, release notes, or authorized distribution page whenever available.

  • We disclose the source and the last update time.
  • We do not copy long passages from source pages. Excerpts are short, attributed, and placed in original context.
  • We paraphrase feature notes and changelogs instead of repeating full pages.
  • We use real screenshots from the app, game, or developer-supplied materials.
  • We do not invent download counts, ratings, reviews, permissions, file details, version notes, or installation claims.
  • If the legal source or distribution status cannot be confirmed, the entry is not published.

2. AI-Assisted Drafting and Limits

AI tools may help draft headings, organize category introductions, summarize source notes into shorter text, create FAQ structures, and produce Vietnamese secondary labels. AI output is treated as a starting point only.

  • AI must not generate facts, data, quotes, version histories, permissions, or screenshots.
  • All factual claims must come from verified sources and be checked by a human editor.
  • AI may not promise absolute safety, speed, revenue, ranking, or download success.
  • AI drafts must be rewritten or rejected if they contain unsupported statements, vague wording, or source errors.
  • No page is published without human review and approval.

3. Human Review Rules

A human editor checks every app or game page before publication. Editorial policy changes and source-rule disputes are reviewed by a senior editor.

Editors reject or return content when it contains:

  • Missing, weak, or unverifiable sources.
  • Unclear legal status, suspected cracked, pirated, modded, or paid-feature-bypass files.
  • Adult, gambling, malware, phishing, or other harmful content.
  • Fake reviews, inflated counters, deceptive download buttons, or excessive popups.
  • Claims that a file is guaranteed safe, guaranteed to install, or guaranteed to work on all devices.
  • Installation guides that omit the unknown-sources caution or encourage unsafe behavior.
  • Titles, descriptions, feature lists, changelogs, or permissions that do not match the verified source.
  • Category mismatches, duplicate pages, or content that cannot be kept current.

4. Error Correction Process

Readers may report errors through the contact page. Please include the page title, app or game name, version, source link, and a short explanation of the issue.

We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 business days and review them within 3 to 5 business days. If a report is valid, we update the page promptly and add a correction note when appropriate.

For minor errors, we revise the relevant sentence, list item, or metadata and update the page timestamp. For major errors, we may add a dated correction notice, link to the verified source, or remove the page until reliable evidence is available. We also review related pages if the same error may appear elsewhere.
